Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior have reached a complete agreement to extend the Brazilian’s contract well beyond its current 2027 expiration date, according to sources consulted by AS.
The renewal, described by club insiders as “already closed,” puts an end to months of uncertainty and guarantees that the 25-year-old will remain at the Santiago Bernabéu for many more years, regardless of his recent tense moments with manager Xabi Alonso.
Negotiations moved forward decisively in May, when both sides significantly narrowed their differences during a key meeting. At the time, several sources told ESPN that the deal was “very close.”
Vinicius currently earns approximately 17 million euros net per season including bonuses. Although the club has not revealed the exact financial details of the new agreement, the extension is expected to reflect his importance as one of Real Madrid’s most influential players and a regular Ballon d’Or candidate.
Despite Alonso’s public scrutiny of him, including multiple high-profile benchings and repeated reminders that no player has a guaranteed place in the starting lineup, the forward’s camp insists that none of the recent friction will interfere with the renewal.
