Vinícius Jr. has postponed discussions about his Real Madrid future until after the World Cup, despite ongoing talks over a contract renewal.
The Brazilian forward remains under contract until 2027, and Real Madrid are keen to extend his stay at the club. According to the report, the club has already presented a renewal offer, but no agreement has been finalized yet.
Speaking ahead of Brazil's match against Morocco, Vinícius was asked about his future at the Santiago Bernabéu and made it clear that his current focus is on international duty.
“My contract renewal? I’m focused on Brazil. I’ll talk about Real Madrid when the World Cup is over and the next season starts.”
His comments suggest that negotiations could accelerate once the tournament concludes and preparations for the new campaign begin.
Despite the lack of a final agreement, the report states that both Real Madrid and Vinícius are eager to continue their partnership. The Brazilian has repeatedly expressed his affection for the club and his desire to remain in Madrid for the long term.
While the initial offer has yet to receive a response, an agreement is still expected. Should further negotiations be required, both sides are reportedly willing to continue discussions in search of a deal that satisfies all parties.
With Vinícius considered a central figure in Real Madrid's project, the expectation is that his contractual situation will be resolved before the start of the new season.
