Real Madrid have confirmed that Usman Garuba successfully underwent surgery on Thursday after suffering a ruptured left Achilles tendon.
The procedure was carried out under the supervision of the club's Medical Services, and the player will begin his recovery process in the coming days.
Garuba is expected to be sidelined for close to a year as he recovers from the injury.
