The television program El Chiringuito, hosted by Josep Pedrerol, has released the video showing the 12 questions submitted by Real Madrid to Joan Laporta in relation to the Negreira Case.

Last Friday, the FC Barcelona president appeared before Judge Alejandra Gil at the City of Justice in Barcelona. Laporta testified as a witness, not as a defendant, in a case investigating the payments made by Barcelona to José María Enríquez Negreira, former vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA).

During his testimony, Laporta attempted to justify why the club paid 7.2 million euros to companies linked to Negreira over several years. Real Madrid, acting as a private prosecutor, presented a series of direct and pointed questions aimed at clarifying responsibility, knowledge, and the legitimacy of those payments.

Real Madrid’s 12 questions to Joan Laporta in the Negreira Case

1. “Were you informed that these payments to companies linked to Mr. Enríquez Negreira existed?”

2. “Were you aware of them? Did you know about them, or were they explained to you?”

3. “Specifically, who decides on this type of increase in payments?”

4. “Was this information known to the board of directors?”

5. “That FC Barcelona was making payments to companies linked to the vice president of the CTA. How could this be known?”

6. “How many verbal contracts, involving amounts of around 500,000 euros, does FC Barcelona have?”

Laporta responded in Catalan: “Això ha canviat” (“This has changed”).

7. “I am going to ask you about two separate invoices.”

8. “These are two different invoices.”

9. “In the 2008–2009 season, Mr. Javier Enríquez, son of Enríquez Negreira, was working at Fenerbahçe. Could he have prepared the reports while serving as an assistant there?”

10. “I would like to ask you about Mr. Carles Naval, Barcelona’s long-serving team delegate. He was reportedly in possession of 647 reports.”

Laporta replied again in Catalan: “I know they appeared at the back of a closet. I don’t know if it was Carlos or someone from the sporting department. Fortunately.”

11. “Have you reached any conclusion as to whether this hiring was not done directly, but instead through third parties whose companies received amounts totaling one million euros?”

12. “Has FC Barcelona analyzed whether the companies owned by Mr. Contreras actually provided services? And if they did not, has the club made any claims against those companies?”

The questions underline Real Madrid’s determination to expose inconsistencies surrounding the payments and to clarify whether the services allegedly provided ever truly existed, as the judicial investigation into the Negreira Case continues.
