A serious medical mistake surrounding Kylian Mbappé reportedly caused major turmoil inside Real Madrid, potentially putting the player’s health at risk and sidelining him for several matches.

According to French journalist Daniel Riolo from RMC Sport, the issue began with a misdiagnosis of Mbappé’s knee problem, which had been troubling him since the end of the year.

Riolo revealed that the situation was so serious that it contributed to major upheaval within the club’s medical department.
“It’s clear there was a mistake if the player decided to travel to Paris. The diagnosis of Mbappé’s knee was catastrophic, and undoubtedly worse than catastrophic, because it was a very serious error,” the journalist explained.

According to his account, the mistake was astonishing: the medical staff reportedly examined the wrong knee.

Mbappé continued playing matches while experiencing pain, unaware of the real nature of the injury. This situation could have had severe consequences, as continuing to play without proper diagnosis might have resulted in a serious knee tear.

Frustrated by the lack of improvement and repeated setbacks, the French star eventually decided to travel to France to seek a second medical opinion, hoping to finally find a clear diagnosis and proper treatment.

The situation reached its breaking point when Mbappé was unable to participate in a crucial Champions League second-leg clash against Benfica, a match he was desperate to play.

After several failed attempts to return to action and repeated interruptions due to the same knee problem, the trip to France became the decisive step toward clarifying his condition and starting the correct recovery process.
