Raúl Asencio is reportedly close to being cleared in the legal case involving him and several other footballers. As revealed by Ángel García Muñiz and relayed by Heri Frade on Tiempo de Juego, the second complainant—who was a minor at the time of the events—has now also withdrawn her accusation against the Real Madrid defender.
In her statement, the young woman said that Asencio “apologized for a reprehensible indiscretion” and highlighted that “his behavior was different from that of the other defendants.” This latest development follows the earlier withdrawal of the first complaint, marking a significant shift in the case.
The decision now rests with the Prosecutor’s Office, which must determine whether to maintain the charges or formally clear the player. With both complainants stepping away, Raúl Asencio appears to be nearing full exoneration.
