Rodrygo has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in his right knee, according to an official medical report released by Real Madrid. The procedure was carried out by Dr. Manuel Leyes under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.

The Brazilian forward is expected to begin the rehabilitation process in the coming days. This will mark the first phase of a recovery that is typically lengthy for this type of knee injury and will rule him out for the final part of the season as well as the upcoming World Cup. The club has not provided an exact timeline for his return, although such injuries usually require several months before a player can return to competition.

Rodrygo sustained the injury during a recent match between Real Madrid and Getafe. Interestingly, the forward continued playing after initially feeling discomfort during the incident. However, medical examinations carried out afterward confirmed the seriousness of the damage to his knee.

The Brazilian now begins the recovery process with the objective of completing every stage of rehabilitation and returning to regular training, with the hope of being available again during the early months of next season.
