Manchester City midfielder Rodri reportedly wants to join Real Madrid this summer.
According to Radio MARCA journalist Sergio Valentín, the Spain international is keen on a return to La Liga, with Real Madrid remaining interested in signing him following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
José Mourinho is said to be a strong admirer of the 30-year-old midfielder and views him as an ideal addition to strengthen Real Madrid's midfield ahead of the new season.
Rodri's stock rose even further during the World Cup after playing a key role in Spain's triumphant campaign. The midfielder helped his country lift the trophy and was crowned the tournament's Golden Ball winner as its best player.
The Spaniard remains under contract with Manchester City until 2027. Since arriving from Atlético Madrid in 2019, Rodri has established himself as one of Europe's finest midfielders, winning multiple Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League with the English club.
Real Madrid have yet to make a formal move, but Rodri's reported willingness to join the club could become a significant factor if negotiations develop in the coming weeks.
