Rodri Hernández's potential move to Real Madrid continues to gather momentum, although negotiations with Manchester City have yet to begin.

According to the latest reports, there have been no official talks between the two clubs, with Manchester City still reluctant to consider the midfielder's departure. However, Rodri has consistently made it clear that his priority is to join Real Madrid, a desire he reportedly expressed even before the World Cup.

The Spain international has had a contract renewal offer from City on the table for several months but has yet to accept it, preferring to wait for Real Madrid to make a formal approach.

Everything now depends on Florentino Pérez, who is said to be increasingly convinced that Rodri is the ideal player to strengthen José Mourinho's midfield.

According to journalist Sergio Valentín, the midfielder has already reached a preliminary agreement with Real Madrid over the terms of a potential contract. The proposed deal would run until 2030, and Rodri is even willing to accept a lower salary than he currently earns at Manchester City in order to complete his dream move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

The biggest obstacle remains convincing Manchester City to negotiate, but Real Madrid are reportedly optimistic that talks between the clubs could begin in the near future.
