Real Madrid closed the Liga Endesa regular season with a defeat away to Manresa despite producing a strong comeback after trailing by 19 points.
Our team fought back and managed to erase the large deficit, but two controversial refereeing decisions changed the course of the game. The disqualifications of Omer Yurtseven and coach Sergio Scariolo disrupted Real Madrid’s momentum at a crucial stage, forcing the team to chase the game once again in a tightly contested finish.
The home side ultimately held on to secure the victory.
Mario Hezonja was Real Madrid’s standout performer, finishing with 32 points in an impressive individual display.
Despite the defeat, Real Madrid now turn their attention to the Liga Endesa playoffs, with their quarterfinal series set to begin on Tuesday at the Movistar Arena.
