Real Madrid have made Vinicius Júnior's contract renewal one of their top priorities this summer.
According to José Félix Díaz of AS, both the club and the Brazilian forward are eager to continue their partnership, with negotiations expected to accelerate once Vinicius returns from his vacation.
Despite the optimism surrounding the talks, one key issue remains unresolved. Real Madrid are determined to protect their financial structure and are unwilling to exceed their salary policy to complete the renewal.
The main obstacle is Vinicius' wage demands. The Brazilian reportedly believes his new contract should reflect his importance to the team and place him on a salary level comparable to Kylian Mbappé.
However, Real Madrid are reluctant to break their established wage structure, even for one of their biggest stars. While the club is committed to reaching an agreement, it intends to find a compromise that satisfies both parties without jeopardizing its long-term financial balance.
Securing Vinicius' future is currently one of the main priorities at the Santiago Bernabéu.
