Real Madrid have reportedly established a clear financial strategy if they decide to pursue the signing of Manchester City midfielder Rodri this summer.

The Spain international has re-emerged as one of the club's preferred midfield targets following his outstanding performances at the FIFA World Cup. According to journalist Sergio Valentín, Real Madrid have softened their previous stance and are now seriously considering a move for the 30-year-old.

However, the club has no intention of entering a bidding war or paying a premium fee. Real Madrid's sporting management has reportedly set a maximum valuation of €60 million, taking into account Rodri's age, his contract situation at Manchester City and the club's long-term financial planning.

The message from Valdebebas is clear: if a deal cannot be completed within those parameters, Real Madrid will not overpay. The club remains committed to maintaining financial discipline and is unwilling to exceed the figure it considers reasonable for the midfielder.

The report also adds that Los Blancos are not prepared to spend more than they recently invested to complete the signing of Marc Cucurella, reinforcing their determination to avoid inflated transfer fees.
