However, despite receiving the all-clear, the midfielder could still be rested for the trip to El Sardinero. The match is expected to provide an opportunity for Mourinho to rotate his starting lineup, particularly with the Champions League returning next week. Several players have accumulated considerable playing time, and Valverde is among those who could benefit from a rest.
