Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. The 30-year-old Dutch right-back joins the club on a four-year contract and will compete with Trent Alexander-Arnold for a place in the starting lineup following Dani Carvajal's departure.
"Real Madrid CF and Inter Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of Denzel Dumfries, who will be linked to our club for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030," the club said in an official statement.
The signing was completed after Real Madrid took advantage of a market opportunity. Despite Dumfries having two years remaining on his contract with Inter until June 2028, the Italian club were willing to sanction his departure.
According to the report, Real Madrid finalized the transfer by activating the player's €20 million release clause, securing the arrival of the Netherlands international.
