Real Madrid have lost their position at the top of the UEFA club rankings following their defeats to Bayern Munich and subsequent Champions League elimination. The German side now lead the standings with 146.5 points, while Real Madrid drop to second with 144.5.
This shift reflects the impact of the last two European campaigns, in which Real Madrid were eliminated in the quarter-finals. During those seasons, the club collected 27 and 24.5 points respectively, figures that proved insufficient to maintain their lead.
The UEFA ranking is calculated based on results from the last five seasons, with older campaigns no longer taken into account.
Barcelona remain outside the top positions, sitting eighth with 113.2 points, while Atlético Madrid are tenth with 103.7.
