Real Madrid is reportedly closing in on another major addition to their roster with the potential signing of Cedi Osman. According to sources from Eurohoops, Osman, who is 29 years old, is in advanced negotiations with Los Blancos. After becoming a free agent following a season with the San Antonio Spurs, Osman is considering a return to Europe, where he could take the next step in his career.
In his recent stint with the Spurs during the 2023-24 NBA season, Osman played in 72 games under coach Gregg Popovich. He averaged 6.8 points per game, shooting 47.9% from the field, including an impressive 38.9% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he contributed 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
With limited opportunities for a guaranteed contract in the NBA, Osman's return to Europe and potential move to Real Madrid would be a significant boost for the Spanish powerhouse, further strengthening their squad for the upcoming EuroLeague season.
