Real Madrid responded in emphatic fashion by defeating La Laguna Tenerife 118-83 away from home in Game 2 of the Liga ACB quarter-final series, leveling the matchup at 1-1 and forcing a decisive third game.
After a competitive first half, Sergio Scariolo's side took control following the break, producing a dominant third quarter that paved the way for a comfortable victory.
Mario Hezonja, Theo Maledon and Ömer Yurtseven led the way for Real Madrid, delivering standout performances as the team bounced back from its opening-game defeat.
The win also saw Real Madrid set a new club record for points scored in a playoff game.
The series will now be decided on Saturday at the Movistar Arena, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.
