Real Madrid fell short against Olympiacos in the EuroLeague final at the Telekom Center in Athens after battling until the final seconds of a tightly contested game.
Despite missing key players such as Tavares, Len, and Garuba, Sergio Scariolo’s side remained competitive throughout the final. Real Madrid also had to deal with several controversial refereeing decisions during the match.
The Spanish side had a chance to force overtime with a three-point attempt in the final 11 seconds, but the shot did not go in, allowing Olympiacos to secure the title.
Lyles was Real Madrid’s standout performer, finishing as the team’s top scorer with 24 points and a performance rating of 30.
