Real Madrid defeated Baskonia 86-104 in the eighth round of the EuroLeague, extending their winning streak to nine games across all competitions and five consecutive victories in Europe's top basketball competition.
Pedro Martínez's side dominated the opening 13 minutes, building a 17-point advantage that they managed to protect despite Baskonia's late attempt to fight back. Real Madrid once again impressed with their collective offensive performance, led by Theo Maledon with 19 points, Luwawu-Cabarrot with 14, Jones and Jantunen with 13 each, and Walter Tavares with 10.
Tavares was named MVP of the game with a performance rating of 22, but his individual achievement went even further. The Cape Verdean center became the EuroLeague's all-time leader in offensive rebounds, surpassing Kyle Hines with 825.
