With Gonzalo García's move to Fulham nearing completion, Real Madrid has already begun exploring the market for a potential replacement in attack.

According to AS, Carlos Espí has emerged as one of the club's preferred options. The Levante striker is under contract until June 2028, and the Valencia-based club remains firm in demanding his €25 million release clause.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that, although discussions are still at an early stage, Real Madrid has already made initial contact with both Levante and the player's representatives to explore the possibility of a deal.

For his part, Espí is taking a patient approach. The young forward is reportedly waiting to see how talks develop over the coming days and has temporarily put other offers, including interest from clubs abroad, on hold while monitoring Real Madrid's interest.
