Real Madrid defeated Atlético Madrid 1-0 in the Liga F derby played at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium.
Real Madrid controlled the first half and created several dangerous chances before Caroline Weir broke the deadlock in the 25th minute with an impressive volley.
After the break, Atlético pushed forward in search of an equalizer, but Real Madrid remained solid defensively. Merle Frohms also produced several important saves to preserve the lead.
The victory marked Real Madrid’s 21st league win of the season and their 11th home triumph in Liga F.
