Real Madrid continue to search for promising young talent and are close to finalizing the signing of Óscar Naasei Oppong, a 21-year-old Ghanaian defender who is expected to join Castilla on a permanent deal.
The player, born in Accra on February 24, 2005, currently belongs to Granada, where he is under contract until 2028. Real Madrid were already interested in signing him last season, but negotiations have accelerated in recent weeks and could be completed this Tuesday. The Madrid club have reportedly moved ahead of Rayo Vallecano in the race for his signature.
Naasei is a physically strong defender who stands 1.85 meters tall and can play both at center-back and right-back. His current market value is estimated at €1.5 million by Transfermarkt.
He joined Granada’s academy in 2023 from Ghanaian club Emmanuel City and quickly impressed, earning promotion to the reserve team before making his first-team debut last season.
Naasei has also featured in Granada’s first two league matches this season, against Oviedo and Mallorca, earning the confidence of head coach Pacheta.
