Real Madrid have added a new fixture to their preseason schedule: a friendly against WSG Tirol, set for Tuesday, August 12, at the Tivoli Stadion in Innsbruck, Austria. The match will kick off at 7:00 PM and forms part of the preparation plan laid out by Xabi Alonso as the team gears up for the 2025–26 season.
WSG Tirol, who play in the Austrian Bundesliga, will host the match in their 17,000-seat home stadium. This will be one of the first tests for Los Blancos since their appearance in the Club World Cup, offering an opportunity to build fitness and sharpen their competitive edge.
Real Madrid’s La Liga campaign will begin a week later, on Tuesday, August 19, when they host Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabéu. The match against Tirol will help Alonso assess tactical options, manage minutes across the squad, and continue the integration of the summer signings.
The squad is set to return to training at Valdebebas on Monday, August 4, after a well-deserved break, entering the final stretch of their preseason program.
