According to the latest reports, personal terms with the player are virtually agreed, while negotiations between the two clubs are progressing in a positive atmosphere. Strasbourg is prepared to make a significant investment to sign one of Real Madrid's most highly rated academy prospects.

Real Madrid reportedly values Ortega at €16 million, reflecting the club's confidence in his long-term potential despite the striker not yet making his first-team debut. The expected agreement would see Strasbourg acquire 50% of the player's rights for around €8 million, while Real Madrid would retain the remaining 50% and include buy-back clauses or a right of first refusal to maintain control over his future.

Within Valdebebas, Ortega has earned comparisons to Karim Benzema because of his playing style, further underlining the expectations surrounding the young forward.
