Antonio Rüdiger has become the major setback in Xabi Alonso’s squad list for Saturday’s clash with Real Sociedad. The German centre-back began Friday’s training session as usual, but in the final moments he experienced discomfort and was later left out of the squad, raising concern within the club.
Real Madrid subsequently released a medical report confirming that Rüdiger has suffered an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his left leg. Early forecasts indicate that the defender will be sidelined for approximately two and a half to three months.
