Nico Paz will continue his development at Como after the Italian club and Real Madrid reached a new agreement to extend the Argentine midfielder's stay in Serie A, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Under the agreement, Como will secure the permanent signing of Paz for a reported €60 million, while Real Madrid will retain influence over the player's future by including a new buy-back clause. The clause is expected to be set at approximately €80 million, allowing the Spanish club to bring him back if they choose to do so in the future.

The agreement follows several days of discussions after Real Madrid initially decided to activate the €9 million buy-back clause included in Paz's previous contract.

However, the player's desire to continue his development in Italy, Como's determination to keep him, and the strong relationship between the two clubs ultimately led to a different outcome.

As a result, Paz will remain under the guidance of Cesc Fàbregas, while Real Madrid continue to view the Argentine as an important part of the club's long-term plans through the newly negotiated buy-back option.
