Camp Nou had reason to fear José Mourinho. The Portuguese manager's return to Barcelona at the helm of Real Madrid generated huge anticipation, but also distrust among many Barça supporters who were wary of what he could do.

It was not the first time Mourinho had shaken up Camp Nou, and that concern was once again evident among Barcelona fans. The Portuguese coach delivered again, conquering the stadium for the fourth time in his career. This time, he did so under particularly challenging circumstances, with half the title race at stake and several key players unavailable through injury.

Real Madrid arrived in Barcelona facing what felt like a final. A series of setbacks had complicated their start to the LaLiga season, while Hansi Flick's dominant Barcelona had strengthened their position at the top. Mourinho's team needed a statement victory, and they delivered.

The Clásico proved to be a turning point for Real Madrid, who showed at Camp Nou that they are back on track and beginning to find their best form. The victory extended their best winning streak of the season to five consecutive matches, ended Barcelona's unbeaten run in LaLiga, and cut the gap between the two sides to just three points.

Madrid also secured a memorable victory at Camp Nou and handed Barcelona their second consecutive defeat following their Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain. The result completed a perfect October for Real Madrid, who won all five of their matches during the month: three in LaLiga and two in the Champions League.

The victory helped Madrid recover from their difficult position in the domestic league while reinforcing their strong European campaign, where they have won every match. And they have achieved all of this under Mourinho's leadership.
