José Mourinho appears to have found a solution at right-back and has no intention of changing his approach. According to MARCA, Federico Valverde is expected to start in that position again for Real Madrid's Champions League clash against RB Leipzig. The Uruguayan midfielder would return to a role that is not his preferred position, but one in which he has consistently delivered impressive performances.

Valverde's physical strength, ability to contribute in attack and defensive commitment make him a reliable option. With El Clásico against Barcelona approaching, Mourinho's decision could also offer a glimpse into his plans for the crucial encounter.

Keeping Valverde at right-back would send a significant message to the other players competing for the position. The midfielder impressed in the recent match against Sevilla, in which Real Madrid produced one of their strongest collective performances of the season. Mourinho appears keen to maintain a system that provides greater balance while opening up space in midfield for more creative players.

The Champions League clash against Leipzig could provide further clues about Mourinho's plans for El Clásico. If Valverde starts at right-back again and delivers another convincing performance, the likelihood of him filling the same role against Barcelona could increase.

Mourinho knows he needs dependable players for two demanding fixtures, and Valverde offers qualities that suit the Portuguese coach's football philosophy: sacrifice, intensity and tactical discipline. The main question is whether this solution will be temporary or become a regular feature of Real Madrid's lineup.
