Kylian Mbappé has spoken with his usual clarity and confidence about his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or, insisting that his performances on the pitch will be his strongest argument.
The Real Madrid striker spoke to AS editorial director José Félix Díaz in his first interview with a Spanish sports newspaper since joining the club. The interview comes as Mbappé begins his third season at Real Madrid, with the possibility of claiming the Ballon d’Or once again at the forefront.
“My opinion is that this is a good year to win it. My best advocate is my own feet. No matter how much I talk, the most important thing for me is that the Ballon d'Or returns to Real Madrid. It must return to the Bernabéu, to the Madrid fans, to bring joy back to all these people. They deserve it more than anyone,” he maintains.
