Sergio Scariolo's team had to produce yet another extraordinary comeback. They erased an 18-point deficit from the first quarter and later overturned an 11-point gap with just five minutes remaining. The decisive blow came in a dramatic final 20 seconds, when an 8-0 run sealed the win, highlighted by two heroic three-pointers from Mario Hezonja. The forward delivered a standout performance with 25 points and seven shots from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, Sergio Llull matched Felipe Reyes’ record for most victories in the tournament, reaching 36 wins in the Copa del Rey.
Madrid will now await the winner of the semifinal between Baskonia and Barcelona, with the final set to crown another champion in what has already been an unforgettable edition of the competition.
