Manuel Ángel is already in London to sign his new contract with Fulham. The Castilla midfielder is set to become Álvaro Arbeloa's third Real Madrid signing, following Gonzalo and Palacios, as the Spanish manager continues to shape his new project at the Premier League club.
Arbeloa had initially explored the possibility of signing Thiago Pitarch, but Mourinho and Real Madrid ruled out the academy graduate's departure. The Fulham manager then turned his attention to Manuel Ángel, a player he knows well from his time at La Fábrica, where the midfielder served as one of his key players.
Manuel Ángel had been close to leaving Real Madrid throughout the summer after spending several months training with the first team last season. Arbeloa had been closely following his situation, and the uncertainty surrounding his future eventually opened the door for Fulham to complete the deal.
The agreement has reportedly been finalized for around €4 million in exchange for 70 percent of the player's rights, with Manuel Ángel now set to begin a new chapter in the Premier League.
