Real Madrid's basketball section continues to undergo important changes following the return of Juan Carlos Sánchez to a leading role within the club's structure.

Since taking charge, Sánchez has reportedly held a series of individual meetings with key figures, including head coach Sergio Scariolo and several players, to assess the current state of the squad and begin planning for next season.

One of the first players to meet with the executive was Sergi Llull. The veteran guard remains eager to continue his playing career and is aiming to complete a remarkable twentieth season in a Real Madrid jersey. According to reports, discussions regarding his renewal are progressing positively, with Florentino Pérez having previously made it clear that Llull would be able to remain at the club for as long as he wished.

The situation is less certain for David Kramer. The German international has reportedly been informed by Scariolo that he is not part of the coach's plans for next season and should begin looking for a new destination.

Kramer struggled for consistent playing time during the previous campaign, and his limited role appears to have influenced the club's current thinking regarding his future.

Interestingly, Kramer was originally signed in 2025 under the recommendation of Juan Carlos Sánchez himself, shortly before Sánchez left his previous position and was replaced by Sergio Rodríguez.

Now back in charge, Sánchez faces an important decision. He must either endorse Scariolo's recommendation and negotiate the player's departure or choose to keep Kramer for the final year of his contract and give him another opportunity within the squad.

The coming weeks are expected to provide greater clarity as Real Madrid continue shaping their roster for the new season.
