Real Madrid's potential signing of Cedi Osman is in advanced stages, as confirmed by various journalists and media outlets. Anadolu Efes, where Osman developed as a youth and played for five years before joining the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, has also submitted an offer to bring the Turkish forward back to the club. While Osman is awaiting potential interest from NBA teams, that interest has reportedly materialized.
Journalist Matteo Andreani from Basket Inside 360 was among the first to confirm Real Madrid’s strong interest in Osman, while also reporting that the Los Angeles Lakers have shown interest in the North Macedonian-born player. Real Madrid has already tabled their offer, as reported by media outlets earlier today. However, Osman is holding out hope that an NBA team may approach him before finalizing any deals in Europe.
Osman could be the most significant signing of the current market for Real Madrid, especially after Evan Fournier’s move to Olympiacos with a contract exceeding two million euros. Davis Bertans, another potential target, is also waiting for NBA offers, which has led Real Madrid to focus their efforts on Osman. Negotiations are progressing well, and both sides are close to reaching a long-awaited agreement.
