Real Madrid continued its rise in the EuroLeague standings with another convincing home victory, defeating Valencia Basket 96-79 to extend its impressive winning streak.
The win marked the team’s eleventh consecutive triumph at home and allowed the Madrid side to move into a tie for third place with Olympiacos, both holding a 20-11 record. Real Madrid also edged ahead of Valencia Basket on point differential.
The team coached by Sergio Scariolo delivered an outstanding all around performance. Offensively, Madrid produced 16 three pointers, grabbed 16 offensive rebounds, and recorded 25 assists. Defensively, they limited the competition’s most productive offense to its second lowest scoring output of the season.
Mario Hezonja led the way with 16 points and an efficiency rating of 19, heading a strong collective display. Several teammates also made key contributions, with Andrés Feliz (17), Walter Tavares (16), Gabriel Deck (14), Facundo Campazzo (11), and Chuma Okeke (10) all finishing with double digit efficiency ratings.
