Enrique Riquelme has intensified his presidential campaign by claiming he already has two major signings prepared if he wins the Real Madrid elections against Florentino Pérez.

In an interview with ABC, the candidate stated that agreements are already in place for two international stars to join the club as part of his sporting project.

"There are signings finalized. I have two great international stars signed for Real Madrid. Two players, and we are working on the coaching staff."

Riquelme insisted that the agreements would become effective if he is elected president.

"There is an agreement that if I am president of Real Madrid, there are two great international stars who will play for Real Madrid and are necessary for the short, medium and long term sporting project of Real Madrid."

When asked whether the identities of the players would be revealed within the next two weeks, the businessman replied: "Probably yes."

Riquelme also criticized Florentino Pérez’s sporting policy regarding Spanish players after Spain announced a World Cup squad without Real Madrid representation.

"It's a sad day for Real Madrid, with no players called up to the Spanish national team for the World Cup," he said during an event in Valencia.

"The members should be able to hear different proposals and decide what the future of Real Madrid will be."

The presidential candidate also renewed his request for a public debate with Florentino Pérez ahead of the elections.
