Real Madrid Castilla's promotion hopes came to an end after a 3-0 defeat to Sabadell at the Nova Creu Alta, resulting in elimination from the playoffs for a place in the Second Division.

Sabadell opened the scoring in the 31st minute and leveled the tie just two minutes later. The second goal was surrounded by controversy, as Castilla protested a foul on Thiago in the build-up. The referee reviewed the incident through VAR but allowed the goal to stand.

With the aggregate score level, the match remained finely balanced until the closing stages. In the 90th minute, Sabadell found the decisive goal to complete the comeback and secure their place in the playoff final.

Castilla's defeat brings their season to an end, falling just short of promotion after holding a two-goal advantage from the first leg.
