Real Madrid centre-back Raúl Asencio has decided to change his legal representation as the case involving the unauthorized recording and distribution of a sex video—featuring two women, one of whom was a minor—enters a new phase. This decision comes shortly after the private prosecution formally requested a four-year prison sentence for Asencio.

The defender has now appointed Alfonso Morales, a lawyer from the Rodríguez Mourullo law firm, based in Madrid’s Príncipe de Vergara district. Morales is no stranger to representing Real Madrid in legal matters, having previously been involved in the defense related to the racist insults directed at Vinicius Jr. during a match in Valencia.

According to the lawyer representing the minor involved in the case, the private prosecution has already submitted a formal request for the opening of a trial against Asencio and three former Real Madrid players—Juan Rodríguez, Ferrán Ruiz, and Andrés García—on charges of disclosing secrets and child pornography.

Juan Rodríguez, Ferrán Ruiz and Andrés García are accused of having recorded the sexual encounter without the women's consent and of distributing the footage, which reportedly included explicit images of a minor. As a result, they each face a proposed sentence of four years and ten months in prison.

While Asencio did not participate in the encounter itself, he is accused of receiving the video and subsequently showing it to a third party. The charges argue that he was fully aware that the recording was made without permission, that the victims had requested it be deleted, and that one of the girls featured was underage.
