Arsenal have reportedly identified Raúl Asencio as a potential defensive signing during the summer transfer window.

According to reports from England, the Premier League club are considering the Real Madrid defender as they look to strengthen their back line following Ben White's departure. Real Madrid are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Asencio, who could generate a significant transfer fee.

After completing the signings of Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries and Bernardo Silva, Real Madrid are now focused on reducing the size of the squad before making any further additions.

The report adds that more departures are expected in the coming weeks, with Asencio among the players available for transfer. The defender endured an inconsistent second half of the season and lost his place under Álvaro Arbeloa.

Rüdiger's contract renewal and the arrival of Konaté have further increased competition in central defense, while Éder Militão's expected return from injury could push Asencio even further down the pecking order.
