Angelo Stiller has emerged as a potential midfield option for Real Madrid as José Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad. The 25-year-old German is a defensive midfielder who operates as a pivot, contributing not only defensively but also in ball distribution, initiating attacks and organizing his team’s forward play.
That role is currently occupied by Aurélien Tchouaméni, although the Frenchman does not typically take on the responsibility of initiating attacks or dictating the team’s play from deep.
Stiller’s market value is estimated at around €45 million, which could be the approximate cost of a move from Stuttgart to Real Madrid. The fee could rise to €50 million with performance-related bonuses. The Munich-born midfielder is under contract with Stuttgart until 2028, meaning the German club would have limited leverage to demand an excessive fee, particularly with the final year of his contract approaching.
Mourinho would reportedly welcome the opportunity to add a player with Stiller’s profile to his squad, especially at a relatively affordable price.
According to Aaron Domínguez, contact has already been established with the German international, who would reportedly be delighted to join Real Madrid and reunite with his national teammate Antonio Rüdiger.
A financial agreement with the player is expected to be straightforward, potentially paving the way for him to join Mourinho’s squad and compete for a starting role alongside Tchouaméni and Valverde.
