At 6:50 p.m., Real Madrid Television announced that the club is preparing a detailed dossier on refereeing decisions from the first four La Liga matchdays and last season. The report will be sent to FIFA in order to draw attention to what the club considers repeated injustices in Spanish football.

The decision comes in the aftermath of the controversial red card shown to Huijsen at Anoeta, which was not reviewed by VAR despite Oyarzábal being far from goal and Militão positioned level with him. Real Madrid expressed their frustration, with players lamenting that the referee was not given the chance to review the incident. Even coach Xabi Alonso, usually calm in such situations, protested strongly, receiving a yellow card and later demanding an explanation.

On Real Madrid Television, commentators recalled statistics dating back to the Negreira era, pointing out that Barcelona has a record of +65 in matches where opponents were sent off, while Real Madrid’s record stands at -2. In the Champions League, the figures are +12 for Barcelona and +13 for Madrid. The club questioned why, in the 21st century, Barcelona consistently holds such a favorable record with numerical advantage, while Madrid’s results in similar circumstances remain negative.
